Trevor Beattie is a Virgin Galactic Future Astronaut and is responsible for some of the most talked-about advertising campaigns of all time: from the “Hello Boys” Wonderbra ads for Playtex, to FCUK for French Connection UK and the sight of William Hague in a Margaret Thatcher wig for Tony Blair’s New Labour Election in 2001. In 2011 he set up The Jack And Ada Beattie Foundation, in memory of his parents. Under the rallying cry of Knowing That Someone Is Fighting Your Corner Is Half The Battle Won, the Foundation has supported the vulnerable via grants to individuals and organisations alike. Last year, it facilitated the massed Return of some 800 D-Day Veterans to the beaches of Normandy, for the 70th and final Commemorations. Www.beattiefoundation.com
